IMPROVEMENT IN UTERINE SUPPORTERS.-
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 137,531, dated April 8, 1873; application filed February 15, 1873.
To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, HoEATIo N. GANER, of Freeport, in the county of Stephenson and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Uterine Supporter 5- and I do hereby l declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilledin the art to which it pertains to make and Lise it, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawing which forms part of this specification, Iand in which- Figure l is a view in perspective of the im proved uterine supporter. Fig. 2 is a plan view of cup G, herein mentioned. Fig. 3 illustrates the double adjustable hinge. Fig. 4 is a front view of the belt-plate.
Nature.
My invention consists of a frame constructed to extend around not onlyT the upper part and sides, but also the lower part, of the eX- ternal organs of generation, in combination with a cup-stem having upward and outward curves, attached to the lower part of the frame by an adjustable hinge, so as to furnish an easy and firm support and `avoid pressure upon the delicate parts within the labia.

Claim.
The frame A A, constructed .so as to extend around the labia pudendi and the mons veneris, in combination with cup-stem D, having upward and outward curves, and attached to the lower part of the frame by an adjustable hinge, substantially as described.
