CURTAIN AND SHADE HOLDER.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Mar. 8, 1921.
Application filed September 22, 1920. Serial No. 411,896.
0 11M to 710m it may concern Be i known that I, Jenn .Vnzcnn, a citizen of Poland, residing at Revloc, in the county of Cambria and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Curtain and Shade Holders. of which the following i a specification.
The main object or this invention is the provision of a shade and curtain holder or support of practical design and construction. which is at the same time relatively inexpensive in cost of manufacture.
The above and other objects will become apparent in the description below, in which characters of reference refer to like-named parts in the drawings.
Ret'erring briefly to the drawings 1. igure.
1 is a front elevational view of port applied to awindow.
2 is a side elevational view of the same, partly in section.
3 is a perspective view of my resilient security clamp.
Fig. 1 is a rear elevational view of said clamp.
Fig. 5 is a front elevational view of support.
Fig. 6 is a side elevational view of same, partly in section.
same.
Referring now in detail to the drawings. the numeral 1 represents the main frame of my support, which may be ornamental, as illustrated. Attached to substantially the upper halt" or said frame is a "forked member 3 in which is slidably mounted in telescope fashion a second forked member A horizontal bracket 4 extends from the upper end of the frame 1. and a curved bracket 5, having a recess 5 for the reception ot a shade roller 23, extends from the end of the bracket 4 to the lower end of the frame 1. Hinges 6 are mounted on either side of the frame 1, and in the ends thereof are slidably mounted vertical pins 7 havtapered or pointed upper ends 8 and collars 9 rigid with said pins near the upper ends. Springs 10 surround said pins and normally urge the latter upward.
7 my supthe the
is a fragmentary plan view of the Hooks 11 extend rearward from the upper end of the frame 1. A U-shaped wire mem ber 12 is pivotally mounted in the upper end of the member 3, and a substantially similar wire member 13 is pivotally mount- 1 frame, the same being represented at 20, the
hooks 11 are secured upon the upper member 21, and the member 12 also rests against the top of said member 21. The pins 10 engage the lower edge of said member 21, as does also the member 13. Thus the entire support is securely retained upon said window frame. The recesses 5 will hold the shade 23, and the hooks 17 will support curtain pole 24.
I claim:
1. A device of the class described comprising a frame, hooks extending from the upper end thereof, additional frames attached to said main frame, members piv otally attached to the ends of said additional frames, hinges attached to the sides of said main frame, pins slidabl x l'llOUl'ltQd in said hinges, and springs normany urging said pins upward.
2. A device oi? the class described comprising a main frame, hooks extending from the upper end thereof. additional frames attached to said main frame, substantially .U-shaped wire members pivotally attached to said additional frame, springs normally urging said wire members toward each other, hinges attached to the sides of said main frame, pins slidably mounted in said hinges, and springs normally urging said pins upward.
in testimony whereof I afiix my signature.
JOHN WIEGEK.
