A spray no'lzzle for vertical Diesel engines. comprising a shell formed with a chamber, aspray plug closing one .end 'of said chamber, said plug having` a passageway therethrough, and a central projection extending into the chamber, ancore member having'a central' projection termed with a f bore, said bore providing atrap chamber, the projection on the plug litting into said trap chamber, said core member having also an air passageway leading to the top of said chamber and an oil passageway leading to the topo'r the chamber, an inwardly opening valve for said oil passageway, andan outvwardly opening valve iior the air passageway whereby when air under high pressure is admitted the oil valve will Ye closed and the oil in said chamber will be forced through the` passageway in said plug.

A spray nozzle for vertical liesel engines comprising a shell adapted to be vfertically 4 positioned, said shell having a reduced kbore lat the lower end andY a threaded section in said reduced bore, a spray plug :of the shell, said core being provided also with. an oil passageway' leading into the reduced bore olf said shell, and a spring pressed valyeracting in a direction away from said plug Yfor closing said oil passageway, and an air valve positioned to engage the seat in said air passageway wherehy oil inayfl'reely enter the reducedhore of said shell until said valve is unseated whereupon air will pass into said reduced hore and force the oil in the reduced bore through said plug. p
