Fuel injection device for internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a fuel injection device for internal combustion engines finite with a fuel accumulator and an injection control element which is kept closed by means of a piston loaded by the fuel until the start of injection and is then opened by the fuel itself.
It has already been proposed to connect the fuel reservoir for this purpose via a check valve or a throttle opening, the space above the piston, on the other hand, directly to the fuel supply line and to bewerkstelli conditions for relief by means of an outlet control provided in the fuel supply line or in the fuel pump itself The aim of the present invention is to achieve the same goal with different means.
According to the invention, the space above the piston is on the one hand constantly connected to the fuel reservoir through a throttle opening and on the other hand to one. ge controlled outlet connected, while the fuel storage is in open connection with the fuel supply line. An embodiment of the invention is the subject of the drawing for Dar position.
a is the injection valve housing, b is the injection valve needle and c is the fuel supply line of an injection internal combustion engine (not shown), in which the fuel enters the fuel without air injection in the usual way at the ignition dead center of the working piston Working cylinder is injected. The injection valve needle b is provided with an overpressure surface d with the aid of which it is lifted by the fuel filling itself after it has been relieved. Until then, the fuel filling has been stored by a fuel store connected upstream of the valve.
In the valve housing a, this has an annular piston e which closes the valve needle b and which rests on a shoulder of the injection valve needle b before the fuel is fed and is pressed downward by a spring f together with the valve needle b.
To load the injection valve, the valve needle is inserted at the top as a piston into a pressure chamber g, which on the one hand flows through the line h with the throttle opening i to the fuel chamber of the injection valve and through the line k is connected to a not signed designated outlet control that opens for fuel injection.
When the pressure stroke of the fuel pump, the fuel delivered goes by lifting the ring piston e and tensioning the spring f, as well as while pressurizing the space g through the line h, with the throttle opening i in the fuel reservoir. The valve needle b initially remains closed under the load of the fuel pressure acting in space g.
If the pressure chamber g is then relieved of the fuel pressure by opening the outlet control, the valve needle b also immediately rises under the effect of the fuel filling held back by the throttle opening and kept under pressure by the annular piston on the overpressure area d, while the annular piston while injecting the fuel into the working cylinder, the valve needle is brought back into the closed position and the injection process is ended.
The throttle opening allows some fuel to flow over into space g, but due to the short time available for overflow, the overflowing amount is so small that it can easily be replaced by a corresponding increase in the pump. Because the pressure chamber g is connected to the fuel storage chamber of the injection valve through a throttle opening, it is achieved that the storage and injection of the fuel can be controlled from a distance while avoiding more than one mechanically operated control element, whereby the operational reliability is very high is.
