IMPROVEMENT IN FLQWER-STANDS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 135,696, dated February 11, 1873.

To all whom t may concern:

Be it known that I, A. C. DAKIN, of Clinton, in the county of W'orcester and Stateof Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Flower-Stand; and I do hereby declare that the following' is a full, clear, and exact description thereof', reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification;

The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a revolving flower-stand, as will be hereinafter more fullyr set forth.

In order to ena-ble others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Y Figure l is a perspective view, and Fig. 2 a longitudinal section, of my flower-stand.

A represents a hollow post or socket ot' any suitable dimensions, to which legs B B are attached to form the support for my iower-stand. These legs may be provided with casters having wooden rollers, if so desired, so that it can readily be moved about. In the socket A is inserted an upright post or shaft, C, the socket being deep enough to hold it in position, and at the same time not so tight as to prevent the post or shaft C from turning freely D D represent two or more anin the same.

nular shelves, each attached to a spider, E, which slip over the post or shaft C, and rest upon suitable collars attached to the same. Each spider E has a short tube, a, in the center, through which the post- C passes, so as to hold the shelves in a horizontal position. The shelves D D are ot' diti'erent dia-meter, the largest being at the bottom and then diminishing in size upward, the topmost one being placed directly on the upper end ot the post C, as shown.

It will readilyT be seen that by this construction ofthe post and shelves each shelf may be revolved independently of the rest, and that all will turn together when the pest is revolved in its socket. Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
