To all whom it may concern: I

Be it known that I, JOHN H. Koonoeo, a citizen of the United States, residing at McKeesport, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Reel-Holders for Moving-Picture Machines; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to miniature moving picture machines and the primary object of the invention-is to provide a support or holder for the upper film carrying reel of a miniature moving picture machine by means of which holder the reel may be supported in a film unwinding and projecting position and by a slight rearward pivotal movement thereof the holder may be moved to engage the .top of the moving picture machine to support the reel in an inoperative position.

More specifically, this invention comprehends the provision of a reel support as specified which is constructed of a single strand of wire bent to form reel shaft engaging eyes at the ends of the legs thereof and to provide loops for engaging a shaft or pin carried by the top of the moving picture machine and downwardly curving leg portions for engaging a portion of the top of the machine to hold the reel in an operative film unwinding position which loops, coacting with the lengths of the strands between the loops'and the shaft carrying eyes for holding the reel in an inoperative pos tion.

WVith the foregoing and other objects in view, this invention consistsin such novel features of construction, combination'and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanyin drawings and claimed.

In describing the invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawing, wherein like characters designate like and corresponding'parts throughout the several views, and in which:

Figure 1 is a side elevation of a miniature moving picture machine showing the improved reel support applied thereto.

Fig. 2 is a top plan of the improved reel support showing it applied toa fragment of a moving picture machine.

Fig. 3 is a fragmentary perspective'view of the reel support.

Referring more particularly to the drawing, 1 designates a miniature moving picture machine of ordinary construction,'the cover or top of which is indicated by the numeral 2 and carries a shaft 3. The top 2 is provided with a depending flange 4 which engages the top of the main body of the light pro'ecting portion of the machine. I

he improved reel holder, which is gener-' ically indicated by the numeral 5, is constructed of a-single strand or length of wire bent to form two upstanding legs 6 and 7 which legs are bent to form inwardly extendingangular portions 8 near their upper outer ends. Eyes 9' are formed upon the terminals of the angled portions '8 and these eyes are bent'to lie parallel with the main portionsof the legsfi and i', as clearly shown in Fig.2 of the drawing. The eyes 9 rotatably support the shaft 10 which carries the reel 11 from which the film indicated at 12 is unwound during the projecting of the pictures. Loops 14 are formed at the lower ends of the legs 6 and 7 and the loops 14, which are substantially the shape of an inverted U, have their normally rear legs elongated and forming forwardly curving portions 15 which are connected by the length 16 of the wire. The length16 of the wire is sinuously curved, being bent upwardly and rearwardly as shown at 17 to provide the portion 18 which is adapted to engage the ledge formed about the lower portion of the top 2 of the machine 1, as

clearly shown in Fig. 2 of the drawing, when winding position.
