'lhis "invention relates to table writing pads ,and more particularly to that type of writing pads adapted to be used on desks or in which the wrltlng paper 1s drawn as needed from a roll.

rlhe object of this invention is to'provide a simple .ineirpensive and easily manufactured writing pad of the type indicated `from onepiece of sheet metal embracing various novel arrangements and combinations of parts as hereinafter Vmore particularly specified.`

4ln operation a roll of paper such as is which is wound on. a shallow spool, is sprung into position. between the wings B-F the knobs C-C centering in the bore, of the spool and holding same resiliently so that the spool is rotatable but will not turn of itself. The free edge of the paper is then passed through the slots D-D under the raised part F over the body A which body having lateral wings, knobs depressed from said wings and guides formed in said body and limited therefrom by parallel slots cut therein.

A. writing pad holder constructed from one piece of suitable sheet metal having in combination a flat body provide'd'with parallel slots, parts ofv said body limited by said slots being raised above the plane of said body and wings integral with said body having vknobs stamped therein, said knobs situated opposite each other, and adapted to center and resiliently hold a roll of writing paper.

A writing pad holder constructed of one sheet of suitable sheet metal comprising a body provided with parallel slots, guides formed from said body and limited by said slots, a toothed edge on one of said guides and spaced supports bent from said `body and provided with oppositely disposed inwardly directed knobs adapted tocenter and resiliently hold a roll of paper.
