EDWARD BENNETT, OF WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
COMBINED CARD-HOLDER AND CLAMP.
Application filed April 18,
T 0 all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, EDWARD BENNETT, a citizen of the United States, residing at lVashington, in the District of Columbia, have invented new and useful Improvements in Combined Card Holders and Clamps, of which the following is a specification.
This invention comprehends the provision of. a combined card holder and clamp designed to be clamped upon one edge of a shelf or other support and to slidably receive a price card or the like.
The nature and advantages of theinvention will be better understood when the following detailed description is taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, the invention residing in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts as claimed.
In the drawing forming part of this specification, like numerals of reference indicate similar parts in the several views, and wherein Figure 1 is a perspective View of the preferred form of the invention.
Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view therethrough showing the same associated with a shelf.
Referring to the drawings in detail, and particularly to Figs. 1 and 2, the device forming the subject matter of my invention is preferably constructed from resilient metal, although any other suitable material may be employed. The material is given a substantially U P shaped configuration in Specification of Letters Patent.

cross section with one of the limbs 10 straight, while the remaining limb 11 is normally disposed obliquely, so that when the clamp is applied to a shelf or other support indicated at 12, the limb 11 is placed under tension to hold the device fixed in its given position. The cross piece 13 of the device has its opposite longitudinal edges curved toward each other to provide channels let to slidably receive a price card or the like indicated at 15.
lVhile I have shown and described what I consider the preferred embodiment of the invention, I desire to have it understood that such changes may be resorted to when desired as fall within the scope of what is claimed.
What I claim is 1- As a new article of manufacture, a combined clamp and card holder formed from a single blank of flexible material adapted to be bent into substantially U-shaped formation, one of the limbs of the clamp being arranged at a right angle to the cross piece thereof, while the remaining limb is obliquely disposed in an upward direction with respect to said cross piece, the oppo site longitudinal edges of said cross piece being bent forwardly and toward each other to provide grooves in which a card is slidably fitted, and giving said cross piece a su] stantially dovetail formation in cross section, said bent edges being connected with said limbs.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
