citizen ofy vthe United States, residing' at New York,- county `and State of Nenr York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paper Dolls, of which the fol? lowing is a specification.
l This invention relates to improvements in paper dolls, and has for its general object to provide for increaslng the amusing properties of devices of that kind and additionally to provide for instructing the user in the ,prevailing mode ofistyle and construction of articles of Wearing apparel; andin` the practice of properly arranging these on the body ol the doll. The device ofthis invention may be pro'-l vided in the form of asingle sheet of paper having rinted thereon the design of a. nude doll an also designs representative of the various articles of apparel necessary to completely clothe the doll. wearing apparel are printed; in which event the doll body may be formed of paper-board or of stock heavier than that of the papery sheet, it being desirable in some instances to have 'the paper material ofthe apparel more flexible than that forming the doll body. 0r the device may take the form of a nude doll formed of paperboard and separate pieces of apparel cut or stamped on sheets., of relatively thin paper, in' which event a container will be provided for the doll body and the various pieces of a parel.
It isfproposed to have tlle design of the doll so colored and composed as to be repre# sentative lof a nude infant standing upright; and the various articles of apparel will be suitably colored to correspond to the colors ofthe articles of clothing which they represent.
In Fig. 1 the doll body 5 is accurately cut from paper-b0ard, the hair and facial features beingrprinted in multi-color on the head 6. The arms 7-7 extend obliquely oi the outward and downward and from the trunk 8 and the legs9-9 are slightly spread apart 95S'- as shown. The rear (notshown) of the doll body '5 is suitably colored o r printed so as to represent. the rear of a. nude infant. vThe drawers 10 consist of a single sheet of paper foldedat its middle to provide correspond- 10Q drawers so constructedl pass upwardly over 105 thelegs of the doll andthe intermedia-te invention as claim.
What is claimed as new is:
A paper doll comprising a doll lbody formed of asheet of card boaid or the like and apparel therefor formed of paperand consisting of front and back sectlons ai# ranged over the front 'and back of the body of the doll, certain of said sections being pointed out in) the appended' lprovided with intertting pats inteicciw one Within the othel1 and tabs arranged mi the other sections for detaciiably connecting 'the same to the first mentioned sections.
