M. C. TRAVIS.

MAUI) C. TRAVIS, OF DORA, ALABAMA.
TWIN BOTTLE-HOLDER.
Application filed February 17, 1919.
T 0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MAUD C. TRAVIS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Dora, in the county of Walker and State of Alabama, have invented new and useful Improvements in Twin Bottle-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
The purpdse of the invention is to provide a device designed to hold and thereby to keep together two bottles, the contents of one of which is particularly serviceable to use in conjunction with the contents of the other such as for instance a bottle containing iodin and one containing stain remover. Unique means is provided for holding the bottles together and for detaching one or the other from the holder as desired.
The invention is illustrated and described in a specific embodiment, to which, however, it is not to be restricted. The right is reserved to make such changes or alterations as the actual reduction to practice may suggest, in so far as such changes or alterations are compatible in spirit with the annexed claim. The drawings illustrate the invention as a holder for two bottles, but it is obvious that the structure of the holder may be modified so that it may be employed to hold three or more bottles, the invention being susceptible to this change without departing from the spirit thereof.
In the accompanying drawings:
Figure 1. is a view in side elevation of the improved device.
Fig. 2 is a central vertical sectional view through the holder, but shows the bottles contents therein in elevation.
Fig. 3 is a section on the line 33 of Fig. 1.
Fig. 4 is a bottom plan view of the structure of Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings, the invention is shown as comprising a twin holder for the bottles 1, this twin holder comprising the upper sections 2 conforming to the shape of the upper ends of the bottles and having openings therein to permit the passage therethrough of the necks 3 of the bottles. These top sections 2 are spaced away from the bottom sections 4, the latter being shaped preferably like annular bands designed to surround the bottles at the bottom. Body portions 5 connect the top por- Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Aug. 26, 1919.
Serial No. 277,514.
The bottles 1 are placed in the two holders by inserting the same into the holders from the bottoms after the caps 7 have been re moved, the bottles being inserted neck foremost until the necks pass through the openings prepared for them at the top portions 2. The bottom caps 7 are then attached and the two bottles are thus secured in their re spective holders, which being connected together serve to keep the two bottles always together so that the one may be always found with the other.
The character of the holder is such that the contents of the bottles may be used without removal from the holder.
From the foregoing description and the accompanying drawings, it is believed that a clear enough understanding of the invention is to be had to render further description unnecessary.
The invention having been described what is claimed as new and useful is:
As a new article of manufacture, a bottle holder comprising a plural number of bottle holding sections each formed with an upper portion conforming to the shape of the upper portion of a bottle to be placed therein, each upper portion having an opening through which may project the neck of the bottle, each section being further formed with an annular band portion and with a body portion uniting this band portion to the upper portion, the band portion being designed to surround a bottle adjacent its bottom, and removable caps engaging the said band portions for the useful purpose specified.
In testimony whereof I allix my signature.
Mas. MAUD C. TRAVIS.
