Be it known that I, JOSEPH J. Paaarnnrnn, a Citizen of the United States, residing in Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shoe- Protectors7 of which the followingr is a specification.

My invention relates in general to automobile accessories and more particularly to a protector for the shoes of lady drivers. In drivingA automobiles it is necessary to frequently actuate the controlling pedals Y of withstanding the which subjects the toes, soles and counters of the shoes of the operator to constant rubbing and wear. Ladies slices are ol such fine texture that theyv soon become abraded andunsightly. This objection has led to the placing:r of pads on the pedals inadeof materials Which will be less injurious to ladies shoes than the metal of which the pedals are made. This expedient has proved only partly successful as the slices are still subjected to unusual wear through contact with the various operatingmechanisms of the modern automobile.

The object of my invention vis to provide a .j

protector for the portions of ladies shoes which are exposedito injury and wear in driving automobiles. A further object for" my invention is to provide a protector for the shoes of lady automobile drivers which may be readily placed in position on the shoes and while made of materials capable necessary Wear and rubhing will be attractive in appearance. l

A still further object of my inventionds toprovide a shoe protector ofthe class'described which will be simple in construction, durable in use and readily placed upon and removed from the shoe. My invention Will be with reference to the accompanying drawing in which the same is illustrated in a convenient and practical form and in Whichigure l is a side elevational View showing the protector in position upon a ladys shoe; and

In order to protect the counter of the shoe the portion C is a shape and size to closely fit around the counter of the Shoe. The portion C is made of any suitable material which will with stand the wear and rubbing due to contact with the mechanism on the :door of the automobile. It will be observed that my improved protector may be readily placed upon the shoe and when in such position will afford protection to the sole, of the shoe so that such portions of the shoe which are most exposed to wear are prevented frcrn being injured tlupugh contact with the mobile.
