Be it known that I, `PORTER A. STRANGE, citizen of the United States, residing at Dallas, in the county of Dallas and State of Texas, have invented certain new and usevful Improvements in Refrigerating Apparatus, of which the following `is a specification. Y

This invention pertains to vrefrigerating apparatuses and particularly to evaporators.

Devices of this class are designed` to keep food cool without the use of ice, depending upon aprons or cloths kept moistened with water and exposed to air currents, whereby theinterior of the receptacle isY cooled by 4the evaporation asis well understood.

The features of my invention reside in the provision of removable evaporating or cooling panels for the purpose of cleansing,

re lacin or re airiiw which makes for sanitation; the provision of means for assuring a saturation of the cooling` panels and an even distribution of water thereover;` the provision of novel means for delivering water to the door-panel and for conducting the water therefrom; and the provision of certain advantageous and oonvenient elements adding to the usefulness and eiciency of an apparatus constructed in accordance with the invention.

In carrying out the invention I provide a receptacle of the usual shape with removable cooling panels disposed vertically in three of its sides as well as in its door. The

In the drawings the numeral l designates an outer shell or housing and 2 an inner shell or lining spaced therefrom. The housing has abottoln 3 with a drain outlet A `and the lining terminates short of this bottom. The housing is supported byfour legs 5 secured to the corners. Each end and the back of the housing has a rectangular opening "6 of substantial'size and covered with hardware cloth or equivalent material 7 These openings do not extend through the lining. Each opening has at each side an upright member 8` bent at right angles to the housing and secured t o the lining where-- by the latter is supported.
