To all 'whom t may concern.'

Be it known that I, J Aok R. ADLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elsinore, in the county of Riverside and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Necktie-Fressers, of whlch the following is a specification.

My object is to make a portable necktle presser, and my invention consists 1n the ynovel features herein shown, described and claimed.

Figure 1 isa top'plan view of a portable necktie presser embodying the prmciples of my invention, as seen looking in the direction of the arrow 1 in Fig. 2.

The bottom 1, the ends 2 and 3' and the sides. 4 and 5 are secured together to form a rectangular box open at the top. The end 2 is slightly shorter up and down than the end 3. The cover 6 slides over, the upper edge'of the end 2 and the grooves 7 and 8 extend from the inner faces of the sides 4 and 5 near their upper edges. A leaf spring is secured to the lower face of the cover 6 near the outer end of the cover to form a -spring catch 9. The outer free end of the leaf spring is in position to spring downwardly inside of theinner face of the end 2 to hold the cover closed, and a handle 10 attached to the free l end lof the spring extends through the cover to be manually engaged to raise the spring and release the cover. A handle 1l 1s secured to the outer face of the end 3 to be used in carrying the folded tie presser. Posts-12 and 13 fit against the platesl 14 and 15 and the plates 14 and 15 are secured to the inner faces of the sides 4 and 5 and against the end 3. `Pivot p-ins 16 and 17 are formed `integral with the plates 14 and 15 and extend through bearings in the lower ends of the posts 12 and 13, and nuts 18 and 19 are placed upon the inner ends of the pivot pins to hold the FF l Aidly together. The rollers 2l and 26 are preferably wood rollers and are constructed as shown in Fig. 4. The intle 28 is` formed integral with an end p ate 32l andthe end plate fits against the end of the roller 26 and a wood screw 33 is inserted through the pintle 28 into the end of the roller.. The pintles 22, 27 and 23 are constructed in the same manner, except that the pintle 23 is longer and the outer/ end is squared to receive the hand crank.
