To all whom z't may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM' H. Kos'rnn, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, in .the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented aI new and lmproved Baby-Carriage Seat, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact descrip' tion.

This invention relates to attachments for baby carriages and particularly to an extra seat, and has for an object the provision of an improved arrangement whereby a special seatmay be adjustably connected with the front of a carriage without molesting the occupant ofthe carriage.

Another object in view is to provide a co1- lapsible and adjustable seat which 'may be removably connected with any part of the carriage andA supported partially thereby and partially by the bottom of the carriage so as to present a proper support for a child without injuring the carriage. l

Referring to the accompanying drawing by numerals, 1 indicates a carriage of any desired kind provided with a front roll 2 adapted to accommodate hook members 3 and 4, said hook members being slidingly mountedin the body 5 and preferably below the bottom 6 of the seat. Set screws or other suitable means may be provided for locking thev hooks 3 and 4 in any adjustable position. These hooks are shown as being formed to conform to the shape of roll 2, which is necessary for carriages of the type shown, but where the carriage is differently formed the hook members 3 and 4 would be shaped. to' correspond. Each of the end members is provided with a notched section 16 as shown in Fig 2 into which the cross bar 17 fits for holding the parts in proper position when open and act as a bracing means. If desired buttons 18 could be provided for positively locking the end members 10 and 11 in their open position. In order to prevent the entire wei ht of the seat and the child from being carried bythe hook members 3 and 4 supporting legs 19 and20 are provided, each of said legs comprising a tubular portion 21 and amovable portion or section 22 telescopingly fit- 21 and held in an adjusted position by suitable set screws 23. Some carriages are wider than others and in order to adjust the device to different carriages rods 25 in each of the legs is slidingly mounted so that the legs may be spread' apart 1 or brought together as desired and yet the sections 22 of each leg may be caused to properly engage the bottom or floor of the carriage. By this arrangement of legs the rear part of the seat is properly. supported without in anyA way molesting the occupant of the carriage. The seat has been described a's being applied to the front of the carriage, but it is evldent that the same may be applied to the rear of certain makes of carriages, or'if desired to other parts without departing from the spirit of the invention.

What I claim is:

1. An attachable seat for baby carriages comprising a seat body, attaching hooks connected with said body adapted to hook over the front of the carriage, a plurality of supporting legs at the rear of the body, and means sliding longitudinally of the body for connecting said legs with the body. 1

An attachable seat for baby carriages comprising a seat body, means for connect ing the front of the seat with the front of the carriage,'and means at the rear for supporting the seat, said rear supporting means comprising a pair of sliding horizontal bars movable transversely of the carriage and a upporting leg on each end of said sliding ars.

3. An attachable seat for baby carriages comprising a seat body, attaching hooks connected With said body at the front adapted to hook over the front end of a carriage, said 5 attaching hooks being adjustable so as to fit different sized carriages, and a rear supporting structure connected with said body, said rea-r supporting structure vcompriaixg a pair of sliding horizontal bars move transversely of the carriagey and a supportin leg 10 on each of said sliding members, each o said y legs having a vertically adjustable section.
