The invention will first be fully described and then clearly pointed out in the claim.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of the stove-pipe and the said bar and section of two shelves supported by said bar, the section being taken on the line as w of Figs. 1 and 2. Fig. 2 is a top view, showing one arrangement of the shelves, whereby they may swing upon their supporting-pivots. Fig. 3 is another top view, showing an arrangement of the shelf in a fixed position.

A is the vertical bar, with abase, B, standing on the top of the stove. It is strapped or hooped to the pipe G by the detachably connected hoops D. E represents the brackets projecting from the side of the bar at intervals along from the bottom upward, and having a pintle or fixed pivot, F, extending upward from the upper side, whereon the shelves G are to be mounted as shown,by an eye through which the pivot passes, and a shoulder, H, butting against the end I of the bracket. J is abrace of iron detachably connected to the base B by a pin, K, and to the under side of the shelf by a pin, L, so as to be readily applied with the shelf and taken off. This brace may be used or not, as required. The lower shelf has a notch at the rear edge fitting against the pipe, so as to be prevented from turning on its pivot; but the pivot-hole of the upper shelf is in the end of an extension, M, which allows it to swing considerably to the right or left, as may be required.
Having thus described my invent-ion, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination, with pipe and pipe-shelf, of the support A B, pivoted brackets E F, and brace J constructed and arranged as and for the purpose described.
The above specification of my invention signed by me this 4th day of March, 1872.
