Be it known that I, HENRY G. .VoIGHn ac it-izen of the United States, residing in New Britain, county of Hartford, State of Connecticut, have invented certainnew andl useful Improvements in Locks, of which the following is a full. clear,.a'nd`exactdescrlp- "tion This inventionrelates to locks/and itjhas special reference to corridor doorlocks of hotels.

The lock can, however, be released by the emergency key 66, which is somewhatlonger than the change key, and is bitted to engage and actuate the rearmost pin' tumbler 60 to lock the sleeve to the key plug and release it from the casing. On turning the emergency key in the lock, the` dead bolt can be retracted by the cam 63 in an obvious manner. During this operation, the lower tumbler cooperating with the thumb turn member is released frein its locking position bythe tumbler' connector 53 which depresses said tumbler and permits the wing on the thumb turn hub to be shifted from the notch 52 to the notch 5l."
My improved lock, as herein described, is very simple, compact and inexpensive, and is reliable and secure. The partsare comparatively few'in number,'can be readily made, and are not liable to get out of order.l
Various changes mayv be'made in the details of the construction without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims.
