The invention relates to multi-cylinder engines of the soi-called. L-type, and it is the object of the invention to facilitate the casting of the block and to permit. the form` ing of .the same out of different materials. With the construction as described the manufacturing cost vis reduced, and the advantage of the cast iron and the aluminum constructions are combined. Thusv by usin cast-iron bushings L for the cylinders, an
