To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, Louis Sonrssrn, a citizen of the United filtrates, and residing at Brooklyn, in the county of liings and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Articles of lllanufacturm of which the following is a specili iation, such as will enable those skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates t articl s of manirfiu-ti'ire, and particularly to ('le'vices of this class known as toys, and the object thereof is to provide an improved device of this class esya-eially designed to amuse children at f hristmaslimc but which may be used. for tho purpose specified at any time or place.

The invention is fully disclosed in the following specification, of which the accompanying drawing forms a part, in which the separate parts of my improvement are desig nated by suitable reference characters in each of the views, and in which Figure l is a front view of my improved a rticle of manufacture;

My improved article of manufactur may be made of any desired material and any preferred dimensions, and while I have shown and described the design or decoratioir for the front thereof which I prefer, my lnvention is not limited to such design or decoration, and changes in and modifications of the details of construction herein shown and described may be made, Within the scope of the appended claims, Without departing from the spirit of my invention or sacrificing its advantages.

Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, i

A device of the class described comprising an oblong; rectangular frame having front and back facings the bottom portion of the front facing being provided with an opening rearwardly of which the back facing is provided with the representation of .a fireplace and a vertically movable shntter device mounted in said frame and connected with the top thereof by an elastic cord or cords and the bottom of which is provided with a non-elastic cord which passes downwardly through the bottom of the frame, and said shutter device being provided With a picture of Santa Clans.
