RINK, a citizen of the United States, residing at 155-157 North Michigan Ave., Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Sacralv Rests, of which the following is a specication. Y

My invention relates to certain new vand useful improvements in sac'ral rests, and is fully described and explained in the specification and shown in the accompanying drawing, in which:

Referring to the drawing; 4 is a Vbase supporting a post, '5, upon whiehis mounted a vertically adjustable sleeve k6 which may be looked at various heights by a screw 7 engaging depressions in the post. The' sleeve has a rounded upper end 8; 9 isthe rest proper, the same having a 'curved portion fitting the spine and an upwardly pro.- jecting tip 10like the horn of asaddle. This tip fits over therounded upper end 8 of the sleeve 6 and may be engaged by a setsorew l1 in thevpost to be' set at various angles thereon.

The device findsits principal usefulness in applying plaster bandages in case ofV injuriesVv to the hips and thighs. The patient is supported well vabove the Ylevel of the table by pillows, or the Lilia-under the Shoulders. The restproper is placed in position with its main portion supporting the lower end of Y the back andthetip or horn projecting up between the legs. The patients legs may be supported at alevel with the body in any desired.Y manner. The present device thusY affords a clear space underneath the body at about the sacral line and it is, therefore, very `easyto bandage the patient, since the bandage can be passed around and around the trunk without difficulty.
