IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOUNDS FOR TREATING HOGS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 125,492, dated April 9,1872.
Specification describing a new and Improved Medical Compound, invented by JOHN SHAN- NON, of Palmyra, in the county of Marion and State of Missouri.
My invention has for its object to furnish an improved medical compound for hogs; and it consists in the compound formed of the ingredients in the proportions hereinafter described. y
In preparing this compound I take sulphur, four hundred and twenty-six and two-thirds grains; copperas, four hundred and twenty-six and two-thirds grains; alum, four hundredand twenty-six and two-thirds grains; saltpcter, two hundred and thirteen and one-third grains; resin, two hundred and thirteen and one-third grains; fenug'reek, two hundred and thirteen and one-third grains; precipitate sulphur of antimony, one hundred and six and two-thirds grains; assa-t'tetida, one hundred and six and two-thirds grains; soot, fourteen
