To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM C. BRIDGES, a citizen of the United States, residing at Muscatine, in the county of Muscatine and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Razor-Guards, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to new and useful improvements in a razor guard. I
The primary object of the invention is the provision of a razor guard whereby a person may shave his own neck.
A further object of the invention is the provision of means whereby the guard may be secured in proper positign on the head.
A still further object of the invention is the provision of'means for adjusting the and 6, the ends of which are guard.
'With these and other objects in view the invention consists in the novel details of construction and arrangement of parts which will be more clearly understood from the following description and drawings, in which,

In carrying out my invention it is my desire to provide a guard which may be easily" attached to the head in such a position that the neck may be easily shaved and also the revision of means whereby the guard may e adjusted to provide for different shaped heads.
In the drawings, the numeral 1 indicates a plate, the ends of which are bent to form eye members to receive the metal loops 2. A stud or projection 3 is formed on theplate and the purpose of which will be presently described. A band 4 of any desired mate rial is connected to the loop members 2 and extends around the head and forehead, as clearly shown in Fig. 1, of the drawings.

will therefore be seer that the plates 5 and j 6 engage the head in such a position that the neck may be easily shaved. In shaving, the razor will assume the position indicated in dotted lines in Fig. 1 of the drawings and the extensions 9 on the plates 5 and 6 limit the upward movement of the razor. After the guard has been used it can be easily removed by taking oil the spacing strip 5, removing the plate 1 and then removing the ear loops from the ears. \Vhen not in use the plates 5 and 6 may be disconnected by removing the studs 7 from the bayonet slots 8. If desired, after the extension plates 11. have been once adjusted they may he left in their adjusted positions. As indicated in the drawings, the plates 5 and (3 are curved in order that they will conform to iLllG'ClllYtl ture of the head and neck.
Having fully described the invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. A razor guard comprising a longitudinally curved plate having guard finger extensions on the upper edge thereof, said extensions having their terrninals bent outward to provide a stop for the razor, and means for securing the guard in position.
2. A razor guard comprising a curved plate having extensions on the upper edge thereof, extension strips adjustably connected to the plate and provided with extensions on the upper edge thereof, and ear loops formed on the ends of the extension strips.
3. A razor guard comprising a sectional longitudinally curved plate substantially semi-circular in formation, means for connecting the sections, a plurality of guard fingers, extensions formed on the upper edge of" the sections, the terminals of said L fingers being bent outward at substantially right angles to provide a stop for the razor, and means for securing the guard in position.
4. A razor guard comprising a curved plate, a bandadapted to encircle the upper portion of the head, a projection formed on the band, a strip provided with a perforation adapted to receive the projection on the hand, and extended substantially perpendicular to the plane of the band, and
headed projections formed on the strip and adapted to engage the upper edge of the curved plate at an intermediate portion thereof.
A razor guard comprising a curved plate, a hand adapted to encircle the upper porti'pn of the head, a projection formed on saidhand, a strip provided with a plurality of vertically spaced openings adapted to re ceive the projection on the band and to extend substantially perpendicular to the plane of the band, and headed projections formed in the lower end of the strip and adapted to engage the upper edge of the curved plate, at an intermediate portion thereof. 4
6. A razor guard comprising a curved plate, a plate provided with a projection, a

A. razor guard comprising a sectional curved plate, one of said sections provided with headed projectionsand the other sec tion provided with elongated openings adapted to receive the projections, extensions formed on the upper edge of each section, an ear loop ad ustably connected to each section, a band adapted to encircle the head, a projection formed on the band, and a spacing strip connected to the band and curved plate, said spacing strip provided with a plurality .of vertically spaced openings adapted to receive the projection on the band, and headed projections near the lower endthereof adapted to engage the upper edges of the sections of the curved plate.
9. A razor guard comprising a curved plate formed in two sections, one of said sections provided with headed projections and the opposito section provided with elongated slotsadapted to receivethe head upper edge of the extension plates, ear loops formed on the extension strips, a hand adapted to encircle the head, a projection formed on sand band, and a spacing strip ed projections, right angle extensions formed A meme? connected to the trend and curved plate, said spacing strip provided with a. plurality of vertically spaced openings to receive the projection ed projections formed on the lower end thereof adapted to engage the upper edge of the curved plate between the projections.
