To all uihom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MERRILL Moons, a citizen of the United States, residing at Creston, in the county of Union and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Concrete Building Slabs or Blocks, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a concrete slab or block to be used in the construction of walls for buildings. v
The mainobject of my invention is to so construct a slab or block, that it may be easily, readily and securely fastened to the next adjoining slab during the process of constructing the walls of abuilding.
Another object of the invention is to provide a building slab or block having a plu- -ality of metal reinforcing rods or bars em-l bedded therein in an inclined position, each rod or bar being provided with an eye or loop; at each end thereof.

In carrying out the invention as illustrated, and which shows a preferred con.- struction, the numeral 1 designates my improved slab or.block molded of concrete or other suitable and desirable material, provided at each side thereof with a lateral extension 2 of about one-half the thickness of the body portion 3 bedded crosswise within each slab are two metal reinforcing rods 4, each rod being po-= sitioned at an incline across the slab and provided with an integral eye or loop 5, at each'end thereof, and each end terminating within a lateral extension 2, at a point about one-fourth the distance from each end of the block, at which point a hole 6 is formed in the block extending therethrough and through the eye or loop of each of the reinforcing rods, said holes 6, being adapted to receive fastening bolts or pins which passed through the holes in one slab, through the eye or loop of the reinforcing rods, and into the registering holes of the next adjacent slab connected thereto, so as to securely fasten and tie the building slabs or blocks together in the construction of walls for buildings.
