With these and other objects in view, this invention resides in the novel features of construction, formation, combination and arrangement-of parts to behereinafter more fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device. Fig. 2 is'a longitudinal sectional view therethrough. Fig. 3 is a sectional view on line 33 of Fig.1. Fig. 4 is a similar view on line 44 of Fig. 1.
The cover consists of sections 1 and 2, which are adapted to be arranged in telescoping relation so as'to inclose the brush head 3, and bristles 4: thereof. The section 2 is also provided with an elongated back 9 and a flange 10, one end of which is provided with a recess 11 which is adapted to register with the slot 7 of the flange 6 so as to engage the Patented Jan. 23, 1917.
handle 8 adjacent the bristles 4, and when the sections are in telescopic relation. One end of the back 5 of the sections 1 is provided with an eye 12, by which'the cover can be suspended on a nail or the like with the bristles and head of thereby.
From the foregoing description it will be seen that a cover has been provided for tooth brushes which can be easily and quickly 21 the tooth brush inclosed plied or removed therefrom, and one which when in place will eflectually protect the brush.
What is claimed is 1. In an adjustable tooth brush holder, an elongated plate having an outwardly extending flange formed adjacent its edge, said flange having a slot formed therein extending from the edge thereof to the plane of the plate,-and a second plate having an outwardly extending flange formed thereon, said last mentioned flange adapted to slidably engage with the first mentioned flange and having a depression in one edge thereof constructed and arranged to register with the aforementioned slot for receiving the handle of the brush, said flanges being adjustable to accommodate brushes with bris tles of various length.
