IMPROVEMENT IN` SURGICAL BANDAGES.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 120,814, dated November 14, 1871.

To all whom 'it may concern:

Be it known that I, lJOHN G. GRoooocK, of the city of New York, State of New York, have i-nvented a useful and Improved Surgical Bandage; and I do hereby declare the following is an 'exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification, in which Figure 1 represents the bandage with a buckle and strap with eyelets. Fig. 2 represents anend View of the buckle and strap.

The nature of my invention consists in a tubular bandage furnished with a fastening of a peculiar construction, to be hereinafter described;

the objectl being to bandage and fasten the bandage iirmly to the disabled limb of man or animal.

A represents the bandage, made of knit or Woven material, and tubular, having a buckle,

B, at one end, with strap, and eyelet-holes C in the strap, so that when thev bandage is wound aroundthe limb the strap is inserted into the buckle, and the upright fixed or rigid tongue D is inserted into one of the eyelet-holesO, and the bandage is held permanently t0 the limb.
