To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HERMAN L. Guys, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of New York city, borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, ha re invented certain new and useful I mprovenients in ltlailing-WVrappers, of wluch the following is 'a specification.

This invention relates to mailing wrappi'ls used for mailing photographs, magathe type described and claimed in my prior Patents Numbers 1,092,209 and 1,092,210.

The principal object of my invention is to provide a wrapper of this character with means for easily and securely fastening the flaps together when the Wrapper is set up.

The Various further objects and advantages. will more fully appear from the accoinpanying description and the features of novelty will be particularly pointed out 111 the claims.

Referring in detail to the drawing, particularly to Figs. 1 4111612, the improved n1ailjog wrapper is preferably formed of stiff,

fibrous material such as paste board did the like comprising a. bottom or body portion 10, from which extend the end flaps 1 1, and side flaps 12. Between the body portion and the end flaps, there may, if desired, be formed the upstanding end walls 13 and likewise, if desired. between the body portion and the side flaps may be formed the upstanding end walls 14. The side flaps are formed with notches 15 at their meeting edges which divide the'flaps into

16 and 17 which alternately overlie and underlie the corresponding opposing sections. So far the construction is substantially the same as in my prior patents above re-' ferred to.

III. will now describe the improved means whoreby'the flaps are reliably and securely fastened to each other with the utmost ease.

It will thus be seen that I have provided a fastening means for the type of wrapper disclosed in my prior Patents Numbers a-ibcd forms a highly satisfactory securing 'a-angenient for the wrapper.

Having thus described my invention. 1 claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:

1. A mailing wrapper having a body portion, end flaps and inter-lurking side llaps, said side flaps having portions overlapping each other, said overlapping portions being tornied with registering per-' iorations and fasteners attached to the end I flaps having portions which may be grasped through the pertorat ons and divergentlv stantial area, and fasteners attached to the end flaps, said fasteners being each formed with .1 tongue extending flatwise of the material and of a substantially smaller length than the perforation whereby the tongue may be grasped throngh the regis-- tering perforations and bent over theside flap to hold the same 111 place when set up.

3. A mailing wrapperhaving a body [)UIH lion, end flaps and interlocking side flaps, saidside flaps havin portions overlapping each other, said overlitpping portions being formed with registering wrforations of sub- Y stantial area, and fasteners attached to the end flaps, each fastener being formed with a pluralitv of tongues-extending fiatwise 01' the material and of a substantially smaller length than the perforation whereby the tongue may be grasped through the registering perforations and bent over the side flap to holdthe same in place when set up.

4. A inailingwrapper having a body portion end flaps and interlocking side flaps, said side flaps havin" ixn'tiona overlapping each other. said overlapping portions being formed \vith'registering perforations having converging angularly disposed walls, and fasteners altached to the end flaps, each fastener, having a tongue adapted to be grasped when the perforation registers thereover to be bent over the angularly extending .wall.

5. A mailing wrapper having a body portion, end flaps and interlocking side llaps, said side flaps having portions overlapping each other, said overlappin r portions being formed with registering per orations ha vim a plurality of converging angularly disposed walls and fasteners attached to the end flaps, each fastener having a plurality of tongues extending llatwise of the material of the end flap, said tongues adapted to be grasped when the. perforation registers t-hereover to be bent divergently over the angularly extending walls.

A mailing wrapper having a body portion, end flaps and interlocking side flaps, said side flaps having portions overlapping each other, said overlapping portions being formed with registering perforations having a. plnralit of angularly disposed walls at the side of the perforation nearest the end edge of the body portion, fasteners attached to the end flaps, each fastener having a plurality of tongues extending flat- Wine of the material, said tongues adaptedto be grasped when the perforation registers thereover to be bentdivergently over the angularly extending walls.
