Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 120,759, dated November '7, 1871.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, LOUIS MENZER, of Goodrich, in the county of Geneva and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tables; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact deseription thereof', reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon which form a part of this specification.

The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a combination table, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which- Figure l is an end view of the table folded together, showing the hinged end. A A represent the frames, and B B the tops of two rectangular tables, having each a leg, G G, in each corner. These two tables are hinged together in one corner, at a, in such a manner that they may be'folded together side by side, or extended endwise, or placed at any angle desired. The leg of one table at the hinged corner may be dispensed with, as shown in the drawing. 0n the inner edge of each table-top (that is, the adjoining edges when folded together sidewise) is hinged a leaf, D, which folds over u on the top B, and, when thrown out, is supported, on the same level as the top B, by a lever, E, pivoted on the under side of said top and passing through the frame A. On the outer edge' of each is hinged another leaf, G, which folds downward the same as any ordinary leaftable, and when thrown up it is supported by means of one of thelegs C and a part of the side piece of the frame swinging around under the same.

This Jfable, when folded, occupies only the space of an ordinary table. By opening in the center and turning down the leaves it forms two tables, that can be set at different angles in the room. By raising one leaf and dropping down one it forms a full table. By swinging the table around it forms a table of double length in a straight line.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The combination of the tables A B C A B C', leaves D D and G G, and levers E E or their equivalents, constructed, arranged, and connected together, substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
