Description
W. R. BOLIN. BAG HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED APR. 22, ms.

TAS A FFTFa WALTER- R. BOLIN, OF BRAZIL, INDIANA.
BAG-HOLDER.
Application filed April 22, 1916.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, "VALTER R. BOLIN, a citizen of the United States, resident of Brazil, in the county of Clay and State of Indiana, have made a certain new and useful Invention in Bag-Holders; and I declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a side View of the invention, showing the auxiliary holder in dotted lines. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the invention. Fig. 3 is a detail end view of one of the pins showing the bag partly broken away. Fig. lis a detail side view of the same. Fig. 5 is a detail perspective view of the pin. Fig. 6 is a similar view of the auxiliary holder.
The invention has relation to bag holders. and it consists in the novel construction and combinations of parts, as hereinafter setforth.
In the accompanying drawings, illustrating the invention, the numeral 2 designates a wire carrier ring, having at intervals upwardly bent loops 3, 3, spaced apart from each other, and straight or substantially straight portions 4:, 4, between and connect ing said loops.
5, 5 are upwardly extending and converging straight wire supports, having at their lower ends eyes 6, engaging said loops, and at their upper ends eyes 7, engaging perforations 8 of a smallflat transversely rigid upper ring 9. v
The bag-carrying pins 10 have each upper downturned bends 11, detachably engaging over a straight portion 4 of the carrier ring, the upwardly bent loops separating the pins and limiting their movement endwise. Each pin has downwardly extending end arms 12, one of which is extended at 12 parallel to the upper straight portion 18 of said pin connecting the downward bends thereof, the free end of the arm 12 engaging within an upturned keeper bend 14 of the other end arm. The bags, in collapsed, flat form, packed closely together, are engaged by the Specification of Letters Patent.

pin proper, 12, the free end of said pin being then engaged with the keeper bend to hold the bags in place. The upper bends of the pin are then engaged over the straight portion of the carrier ring, and inasmuch as the upwardly bent loops of the carrier ring are narrow, taking up little space, the bags, carried in groups, are located closely together around the carrier ring, hanging downwardly therefrom.
The bags, arranged in groups of the various sizes needed, are suspended as stated, and as the bags of any group become exhausted the pin may be lifted from the ring, new bags placed thereon, and the pin reengaged with the ring.
A hanger device 18 is provided with a stem 19 engaging the central opening of the upper ring, and with a lower enlargement 20, of larger diameter than said opening and engaging the ring to support the holder, said stein being suitably perforated at 21.
An auxiliary holder for the largest or smallest bags may be provided, said holder having upwardly extending diverging arms 15, provided with end eyes 16, engaging diametrically opposite of the wire supports, and a lower straight transverse portion 17 located below the carrier ring and with which the pin 10 thereof is engaged.
I claim In a bag holder, a wire ring having upwardly bent loops and substantially straight portions between said loops, upwardly converging wire supports having lower eyes engaging said loops and having upper eyes, an upper ring having perforations engaged by said upper eyes, a suspension device engaging said upper ring, and an auxiliary holder having upwardly diverging arms provided with end eyes engaging the supports at opposite sides of the holder and a lower straight portion, and removable bagcarrying pins engaging the straight portions of said ring and of said auxiliary holder.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
WALTER R. BOLIN.
