REVOLVING TRAY.
Application led October 29, 1915.
To all whom t may concern Be it lmown that I, LoRrN E. WHITE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Guthrie, in the county of Logan and State of Oklahoma, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Revolving Trays, of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates to an improved revolving tray, one object of the invention being the provision of a rotary tray carrying member having a plurality of readily detached braces or supports, whereby the carrying member is braced when in use, but which will permit ready access thereby for removal.
A further object of the present invention is the provision of a plural supporting or bracing member, which permits of the rotation of the tray carrying member, and also the easy placing or removal of articles relatively to the trays.
In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a perspective view of the complete device. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof. Fig. 3 is a vertical central sectional view through the complete device, and Fig. 4 is a section taken on line 4-4 of Fig. 3.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral designates the base, which has rising therefrom and concentrically thereof the tubular support 6. Mounted upon the base and the supports 7 are the casters 8, which provide an antifrictional support for the lower tray 9, which is rotatably mounted upon the support 6, which is detachably engaged in any manner in the base. Also mounted for rotation upon the support 6, is the upper tray 10. A spoled rim 12 is supported at the upper end of the support 6, which is also provided with the carrying ring 11. Swingingly connected to the rim 12 through the medium of the loop 18 is a brace 14, there being four shown in this instance. Each brace 14 is provided with the two curved or bowed portions that provide the caster Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented May 16, 1916.
Serial No. 58,622.
supporting portion 15, for carrying the frame 18 which in turn supports its caster 19. Thus the four casters 19, one to each brace 14 fits below and supports the outer edge of the upper tray 10, and permits the same to be readily rotated in two directions, as desired. The lower ends 16 ofthe braces 14 are detachably secured by the thumb screws 17 to the base 5. Thus when it is desired to detach the base 5, from the support 6, which is removablyv engaged at its lower end in the latter, the thumb screws 17 are released and the members 14 swung upwardly and thus out of the way.
What I claim, as new, is
1. A revolving tray, including a base, a tubular supporting member carried thereby, a plurality of trays rotatably mounted upon said member, a plurality of bracing members swingingly connected at one of their ends and detachably connected at the other, said braces being connected to the base and upper end of the supporting member, antifrictional supports carried by the braces for disposition below one of the trays, and a carrying means mounted in the upper end of the supporting member.
2. A revolving tray, including a base, a tube mounted thereon, a plurality of trays mounted for rotation upon the tube, an annulus mounted upon the upper end of the tube, a plurality of bow-shaped braces having their upper ends pivoted to the annulus and their lower ends for contact with the base and also provided with inwardly projecting portions, means for detachably connecting the lower ends of the braces to the base, antifrictional supports for the lowermost tray carried by the base, and antifrictional supports for the uppermost tray carried by the inwardly projecting portion of each brace.
In testimony whereof I ailiX my signature,
LORIN E. WHITE.
