This invention is a celluloid receptacle, and the object of the invention is to overcome certain disadvantages inherentin articles of this character as heretofore constructed, and, more particularly, with reference to the manner of pivotally securing the cover "to the receptacle.

As is well understood, sheet celluloid, such as is usedin making receptacles, is so frail and brittle as to render it very diflicult to form durable hinge members, clasps, and other parts subjected to strain. Moreover, it has been the practice, heretofore, to make the parts referred to separately, and to subsequently secure them to the respective portions of the receptacle, particularly when a strong and durable construction is desired. .The present lnvention overcomes the d1sadvantages referred to, and others, in that it embodies a receptacle wherein the hinge members, clasps, etc., are integral with their thereby dispensing With making the features referred to separately, as well as providing a more rigid receptacle, and permitting, if desired, the employment of thinner sheet mawitho-ut sacrifice of strength.
The specific embodiment of the invention herein described is a toilet article, and the receptacle constitutes a handle for a tooth brusln'but' it will be understood that the invention is not limited to said specific embodiment. e
Features of the invention, other than those described, will appear from the hereinafter detailed description, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
