As disclosed in the accompanying drawing, H denotes a head of the type employed in the well known tower two-row cultivator, the rear extremity of which being provided with an opening 1 therethrough in which 7 is adapted to be inserted from above the angular extremity 2 of the arm A, said extremity being preferably disposed at right angles to the arm. From the foregoing description, it is thought to'becbvious that a surface cultivator-constructed in accordance with my inventlon isof'an extremely simple and comparatively inexpensive nature and is .particularly welladapted for use by reason of the convenience and facility with which it may be assembled, and it will also be obvious that my invention is susceptible of some change and modification without material departure from the principles and spirit thereof and for this reason I do not as V wish to he understood as limiting myself to the precise arrangement and formation. of
