This invention relates to certain improve ments in drying apparatus and has relation more particularly to an apparatus of this general character especially designed and adapted For use in drying pastes, such as vcrinicclli or the like; and it is an object to be closed, preferably by the sliding doors 2*, as thought to be clearly shown in the accomlmnying drawings. The chamber 1 is divided into two compartments a and 6 through the medium of the interposed partition I) having: a central opening 5- in which is rotatably mounted the "tan the blades whereof project into both of the compart ments (E and l').

The fan 5 includes the horizontally disposed supporting axle 6 adapted to be oper atively engaged in any desired manner with a suitable source of power, and it is to he understood that said shaft may be reversely rotated in accordance with the necessities of practice. Each of the compartments a and b and preferably adjacent the partiticn 3 is provided with an entrance opening 7 closed by the coni 'entional doors 8, saidopenings this general character having novel and improvcd means whereby the time for drying the, paste may be materially decreased.

It is also an object ol my invention to provide a novel and improved apparatus oi' this general character whereiiiy the paste may be dried in such a manner as to pre vent souriug or molding and to avoid curling, cracking. or bieaking wl'ierehy a superior product 'is assured.

The invention consists in the details of construction and in the combination and arrangen'ient oi the several parts of my iIfiproved drying apparatus whereb v certain important advantages are attained and the device is rendered simplex; less expensive and otherwise more convenient and advantageous ,tlor use, all as will be hereinafter more fully set fortln The novei features of the invention will be carefully defined in the appended claims.

In order that my invention may be the better uinlerstood, I will. now proceed to describe the same with reference to the accompanying drawings. As disclosed in the accon'ipanving drawings, 1 denotes adrying chamber of predetermined configuration and dimensions having its opposite ends open and adapted atlording a convenient means whereby de- "11mm the foregoing description, it is thoti'glit to be obvious that a drying apparatus constructed in accordance with my invention is of an extremely simple and comparatively inexpensive nature and is particularly well adapted for use by reason of the convenience and facility with which it may be assembled and it will also be obvio'us that my invention is susceptible of some change and modification without material departure from the principles and spirit thereof and for this reason I do not wish to be understood as limiting myself to the precise arrangement and formation of the several pa ts herein shown in carrying out my invention in practice.

I claim: Y

1. A drying apparatus comprising a chamber, frames mounted for rocking movement within the chamber, means exterior of the chamber for imparting rocking movement to the frames, and means for causing a circulation of air to coact with the frame.

2. A drying apparatus comprising a chamber, frames mounted for rocking movement within the chamber, means for im parting rocking movement to the frames, means for causing a circulation of air to coact with the frames, the opposite ends of the chamber being open, and closuremembers therefor.

3. A drying apparatus comprising a chamber divided into two compartments, means common to both of said compartments for creating air circulation therein, supporting frames Within each of the compartmentsmounted for rocking movement, eaclrof said compartments being provided with an entrance opening, and a closure member for each of said openings.
