Description
P. J. GRANDSIRE. I APPARATUS FOR BLEACHING AND DYEING TEXTILES.
APPLICATION FILED JULY 21.1913.
1 148 37? Patented July 27, 1915..
PIERRE JOSEPH GRANDSIRE, OIE DARNE'IAL, FRANCE.
APPARATUS FOR BLEACHING AND DYEING TEXTILES.
Application filed July 21, 1913.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PIERRE JOSEPH GRAND- SIRE, a citizen of the French Republic, and resident at Darntal, Seine Inferieure, France, have invented certain new and usefus Improvements in Apparatus for Bleaching and Dyeing Textiles.
The object of the invention is to provide convenient and e'flicient means for treating textiles on the spindles as the same come from spinning frames, winding machines or the like.
The invention also relates to the details of construction and arrangement of parts which will be hereinafter described and particularly pointed out in the claims.
In the drawing :Figure 1 is a vertical section illustrating one form of my invention. Fig. 2 is a similar view of another form of the invention. Fig. 3 is a view partially in section and elevation of a loaded bobbin and its mounting.
Referring to the drawings, B represents a receptacle having vertical side walls H, at the upper ends of which is a horizontal flange h. In one end of the receptacle is an inlet tube k and in the bottom of said receptacle are spindle receiving openings 5, which receive tapered bushings b. A cover A, fits on the flange b, and when the apparatus is in use, said cover is bolted to the flange. In the cover are spindle receiving openings which receive tapered bushings, a, the latter being in vertical alinement with the bushings b in the receptacle B.
When in use, loaded spindles n, are mounted in the bushings a and b, and the cover A, is clamped to the receptacle and bleaching or dyeing fluid is forced through the tube 71?, which penetrates the textile material and is forced out of the receptacle at the ends of the spindles.
The construction shown in Fig. 2, comprises a receptacle B, having sides H, and spindle receiving openings 7). Formed with the receptacle B, at the bottom thereof is a channel C, which is open at one end as at 0.
The cover A, in Fig.2, is formed with spindle receiving openings a, and on the upper side of said cover is formed a channel C, having an opening at one end 0'.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented July 2?, 1915.
Serial No. 780,236.
The loaded spindles are mounted in the alined openings ab, and the top is clamped to the receptacle and the bleaching or dyeing fluid is forced under pressure through the tube 7?, and escapes around the ends of the spindles to the channels C and C.
What I claim is 1. In an apparatus for treating textiles, the combination of a receptacle formed with spindle receiving openings and an outlet opening, said receptacle having a flange at its upper edge, a cover plate fitted on top of the flanges, said cover plate having spindle receiving openings corresponding to and in alinement with the spindle receiving openings in the receptacle, and tapered bushings in the spindle receiving openings whereby loaded spindles are inclosed to be treated and the treating fluid may escape from the receptacle'through the spindle receiving openings.
2. In an apparatus for treating textiles, the combination of a receptacle formed with spindle receiving openings, and a channel under said openings, said channel being open at one end, the receptacle having an inlet opening, a cover plate fitted on the receptacle and formed with a plurality of spindle receiving openings and a channel above said openings, the latter channel being open at one end.
3. In an apparatus for treating textiles,
the combination of a receptacle formed with PIERRE JOSEPH GRANDSIRE.
