Means are provided for supporting the inner wall of the mold from aplace adjacent to the outer wall and above the 'ound so that the space above-the round a jacent to the inner wall may be left wholly unobstructed and thus permit of making the base of the pavement conveniently in one piece with the curb. The preferred means for accomplishing this purpose which embody our invention are constructed as folthe same is provided with a rounded knuckle 17 which rests against the corner formed by the upper edge of the outer wall and the adjacent inner surface of the respective stake whereby a pivotal support or fulcrum is provided for this lever upon which the same may turn or swing in a vertical plane. The inner wall of the mold is mounted upon the lower arm or this lever and the upper arm of the same is adjustably connected with the stake so that upon rocking or turning this lever the inner wall of the mold may be raised or lowered as required for bringing its upper edge horizontally in line with the upper edge of the outer wall for producing I i an even upper surface on the curl) which is formed between these walls. hanger arm for detach-ably connecting the inner wall of the mold with the supporting lever and also rendering this wall adjustable horizontally relatively to the outer wall forvarying the width of the mold cavity to suit the desired width of curb, those means which are shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3 of the drawings have been found suitable in practice and are constructed as follows: Associated with the horizontal arm of the supporting lever and the inner wall of the bolt is a hanger which comprises an upright bar 20arranged vertically along the flanged side of the inner wall a bearing lug or foot 21 arranged at the lower end of the 11 right bar and engaging with the upper si e of the lower flange of the inner wall. and an upper arm 22 projecting laterally outward from the upper end of the upright Ibar and connected with the lower arm of the supporting lever. 23 represents a vertically swinging clamping dog movably mounted on the inner side of the upright ba1-20 and adapted to bear with its lower end against the lug or foot 21 of said bar while its upper edge is tapered, sharpened or pointed and adapted to engage with and embed itself in the underside of the upper flange of the inner wall. The connection between this dog and the hanger is preferably effected by means of a bolt 24: mounted on the upright bar and passing through a slot 25, preferably of inclined or curved form arranged in the central part of the dog. In attaching the hanger to the-inner wall the foot at the lower end thereof is engaged with -the upper side f a lower flange while the dog is turned int-o a more or less horizontal position and then the dog is turned so that its lower end engages with the upper side of the foot and its upper. pointed or sharpened edge engages with the underside of the upperflangc, as shown in Figs.,1 and 4, thereby securely clamping or fastening the hunger to the inner wall. The hanger may be adjusted horizontally on the lower arm of the supporting lever by a variety of means this being efi'ected in the construction shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3 by engaging the upper arm of the hanger with the underside of the lower lever arm and connecting the same by bolts 26 passing.
