clear, and exactdescription of the'invention, such as willenable others skilled in the art to which appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relatesto trusses and particularly to pads and pad supports therefor.
The object of the invention resides in the provision of a truss which may be worn with entire comfort by the patient and in which the pad will automatically seek its proper position no matter what movements the patient may indulge, in.
A further object of the invention resides in the provision of a truss pad and support therefor which will be simple in construc-' tion, eflicient in use and which may be manufactured at comparatively small cost.
With the above and other objects in View theinvention consists in the details ofconstruction and in the arrangement and combination of parts to be hereinafter more fully described and particularly pointed out in the appended claim.
In describing the invention in detail reference will be had 'to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters of reference denote corresponding parts in the several views, and in which-, I

It will be noted that the opening in the eye member 11 extends transversely Copies of this patentmay be obtained for five cents "each, by addressing the Washington, I). 0 v V a Specification of Letters fatent Patented. of the long axis ofthe plate Mounted i upon the" plate 10 atone end of the eye member 11' is a spring hook 13 which also projects on the "convex side of the plate/ Mounted upon. the plate 10 at the end of the eye member-llopposite the hook 13 is a pair of hooks 14s the bills of which proect on the concave sideoflthe plate 10.
The pad is indicated generally at A and is shown as comprising a pair of substan- .tially oval plecesof fabric 15 and 16 stitched together along "their edges'and filled during the operatlon of stitching with a suitable the pad A adjacent one end thereof" are eye members 17 which are engaged over the bills of the hooks 14., Secured to eachside of the pad A at corresponding points are flexible strands-18 and 19 which are adapted to be engaged beneath the" hook'18 from.
opposite sides of the latter respectively.
By this construction it will be apparent that'the pad can bei'supported S0 asto move relativelyto theplate10 and automatically position itself in a proper manner inthe cavity; of thebody no ,matter what, y
j of movement the wearer may indulge in. g It will also be apparent that the extent of movement of the pad relatively'to the plate strands "18 and '19;
WVhat is claimedisk i A truss pad structure comprising a dished plate provided with means for detachable by adj usting the I quantity of' small shot 17. Mounted upon v connection to truss belt, a hook mounted on said plate atone end thereof an'dpro-M je-cting on the convex side ofthe plate, a f pair of hooks mounted on the other end of said plate and projecting onthe concave side thereof, a'pad, a pair: of eyes mounted on the padand engaged over the hooks projecting on the concave side of the plate,
andcfiexible strands secured to opposite sides of the pad and engaged beneath the hook projecting on the concave side of they plate.
In testimony whereof, jI "affix my signature,,1n the presence ,of two wltnesses.
