Toallwhom it ma concern:
Be itl known t atAI, a'rHUa F. Basora,
'a citizen of the United States, residing at Holden 'in the county of LoL an, State of West Virginia, have inven certain new and useful Improvements in Cable-Hooks; and I d hereby declare the `following to be a full, clear and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled inthe art to which itappertainsto makeand will be formed of a few parts that will not leasilv get out of order.
W'ith'the above objects in view the invention consists of certain novel details` of construction and combination of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed, it being understood that various modifications may be made in the minor details of construction within the scope of the appended claims. .A
In the accompanying drawing illustrating this invention z--Figure 1 is an end elevation of the hook showing its application to a trolley wire. Fig. 2 is a front elevation with the .cover plate removed. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view taken on the line 3-3 Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is a cross sectional view taken on the line 4-4 Fig. 1. ,3:
Referring now to the drawingfwin which like charac( ers of reference designate similar parts, 10 designates a stock of wood, fiber orl any similar material, which is provided at one end with a grip 11, und is provided in one side with a recess 12 which extends nearly from end to end of the stock, there being an opening 13 through one end of the stock for the reception of the trolley wire lengaging hook i4, and theredieing an opening 15 through the opposite end of the stock and grip for the reception of the insulated conductor cable 16.
Disposed on the inner wall of thev recess is a terminal in the nature of a copper plate 17 upon which the hook 14 is secured by Specification of Lamu Patent.

' means 0f a screw 18 and also by means o f e. -copper clamp plate 19 which is secured by s 'aced bolts`20 -to the stock as shown in 1g. 4. Disposed on the inner wall of the a0 recess is a second terminal in the nature of g a copper plate 21 upon which the eye 22 of the conductor wire 16 is secured by means of a belt 23, the wircheng further 'secured boite 25. ordinary sad strip fuse 26 has the terminals notched andsuch notched endsl clamped tothe ceppo!" plates: 17 andl 21by means of.' nuts 2 lon the bolt 28 passed through the plate A17. and by means otnuts 29 disposed onlthe above mentioned conductor wire securl belt..23 Upon an overblow-.and thus.. revent" under the fuse'between the-.terminals is a non-heat conducting late 80 -formed of lll-fi" sulating material andsecured to the stoel; by means of-screws '81,' the ends of the plats-i being notched as shown at. 82rand 38 to res' )of eeive the terminals 17 and 21. v. cover plate 34 is secured at thelends to the by screws 35, and upon the removal of thelatter access to the terminals may be easilyeffected by replacing a blown' fuse with a 55,- newone. f
From the above descriptionjt will be seen that I have lprovided aneitr'gmely simple device of the class describedvihich is ine pensive Vto manufacture andjis formed of-'a few simple parts `that will not easily get .putof order. *i
What is claimed, is A 1. The combination in a-.collecting hook for locomotive or other electricv machinery is.. of a stock of non-conducting mate 'al hawing a recess in one side face and a ongitu.,A dinal passage communicating with the a metallic plate on the bottom wall of said recess, a hook engaged throughscidpasssge' andbearing upon the outerpfacisl of` 'said late, and a securing device anchoring saidj liook to the plate, said devil abeing accessihlfl' lhrtugh the recess to'p'ermitremoval of thema oo i 2l Ehe combination in a coll" i i. '1 for locomotives, of a stock of non-.con ucti material having a recess in'one sidehice an` longitudinal passages entering .said recess 11o and opening throughop ositeends of. the stock respectively, one said passages bebetween said plates, a hook passed through 2 v 1,106,138 a, T v ,al
