.of which the following is I a specification An obgect of the invention is to provide a device to include ahumidor for cigarettes to retain the tobacco thereof in a moist and fresh condition, and whereby cigarettes can be individually delivered from the interior of the device.

Now when the upper curved edge of the" supporting plate 13 is approached by the up'p er faces or the partitions 14:, due to the raising of the receptacle 10 in the casing 12, it will be read 'ily apparent that one'of the cigarettes on the partition will gravitate on to the curvedupper face of the supporting platefandfif now permitted to drop back into the casin 12, the cigarette will be exposed adjacent t e upper face of the receptacle when the. receptacle reaches its normal position within the casing inasmuch as the return of thereceptacle within the cusing brings the upper face of the supporting plate 13 within t e slot in the upper face of the receptacle .10, as shown in F 1g. 1; and, therefore, the cigarette which the user desired will be exposed and can be readily removed from the plate 13.
When it is desired to fill the receptacle 10 with cigarettes it is necessary only to raise the same a suffic'ient distance to open the upper slot 11 and which is normally closed by thesupporting plate 13, and the cigarettes can then he dropped into the receptacle to lie upon the partitions 14: where the tobacco of the cigarettes willbe kept-moist and fresh. The side walls of the casing 12 are provided with cut away portions 19 to expose the thumb grips 18 of the receptacle 10 so that the operator can'rcadily grip the receptacle and lift casing 12 in order that the partitions will be brought nearer to the curved upper face of the supporting plate so that the cigarette of the cigarettes will not become dry or 'br1t-tle, hut-will retain its flavor and he soitt and pliable. Now when it is desiredto de the samerelatively to the will gravitate on to the upper face of the plate and beeupported thereby upon the return of the receptacle within the casing 12.

Having thus described my invention, I claim:
in a device ofthe class described, the combination with receptacle having transverse slots in the upper and lower feces thereof, of a cas'ng adapted to slidably receive the receptacle, a supporting plate carried by the casing and projecting through the slots in the receptacle, with the upper edge of the supporting plate normally lying flush with .the upper face of the receptacle, curved upertured partitions Within the receptacle to support cigarettes which will normally lieagainst the sides of the supporting plate and. whereby :1 single cigarette will be delivered to the curved face of the supporting plate when the receptacle is slid upwardly and mrtiully out of engagement with the sziid. easing, epcrtured cylinders carried within the receptacle adjacent the curved partitions therein, and inoistening agents carried Within the said cylinders for supplying moisture to the tobacco of the cigarettes on the said. partitions.
