To all who/m. it may concern .Be it known that I, Jol-iN J. Lisons, a citizen of the United States, `residing at Canton, in the count-y of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Soap-Holder, of which the following is a specification.

y invention relates to improvements in devices :for holding cakes ot soap 1n such manner as to pernnt water to drain freely therefrom after the same have been used` and placed in the holder, and to a peculiar construction of such holder wherein the water drained from the soap is conducted in delinite channels through and out ot the holder, thus )reventing the accumulation ol drainage in t 1e holder itself.

The objects of the invention are to gcnerally improve devices of the character mentioned, to provide a soap holder more eilicient in draining the soap placed therein and directing the discharge of the drainage therefrom, to make the device of flexible waterproof material, such as rubber, to construct the device in' Sections or parts ada ated to be connected together to form a holl eri of any desired capacity, and in gen eral to provide a satisfactory and sanitary soap hoder ol practical utility. These objects, together with other objects readily apparent to those skilled in thc art, may be attained by the construction illustrated in the accompanying drawings, although the invention may be embodied in other forms, the construction illustrated being chosen hy Way of example.

The holden preferably comprises top, intermediate and bottom sections, said sections being made o1,"w rullhen? similar inaterial and connected"together as by vulcanizing or the like so as to l'orln a substantial integral structure. The upper section is provided with the back l preferably having near the top a hanging aperture 2 provided with reinforced edges, as shown in the drawings. ln eases where much washing is done soap 'holders of my invented construction will be especially appreciated, as long continued use of soap and water ,great-ly softens the slain of the bands, and in hurried work, in re-placing the soap in the holder, or taking the snip 'from the holder a quick movement ofthe hand and tlrni grasp of the soap will in no .wise endanger the 'person :in striking the hand afrainst the holder and thus injur ing the already softened hands. Should the holder fall from its hook or support into an enameled sink or the like no injurywill be done to either sink or holder as in the case with constructions nowcomlnonly in use.

Again, the rubber construction provides an absolutely noircorrosive holder which may bo easily and thoroughly washed and cleaned, the flexible character of the device enabling the thorough cleaning oi all tubes and other portions, By conductingthe drainage from the soap in the tubes the drainage is iniA sired7 and the drainage further directed in holding' trays formed integrally with saidA back and arranged one above another, cach tray having a bottom, front and sides, said bottoni having a declination from said front to said baci; and provided with integral raised ribs in iii-(uit-to-rea-r position, a depressed transverse channel in said bottom adjacent said back, drainage tubes formed integrally with said back and extending from the rear inner corners of the uppermost tray downwardly through the rear inner cor ners of the lower trays, said tubes in each of said lower trays being cut away to forni drainage apertures leading from'said transverse channels into said tubes, said tubes ,terminating below the lowerinost tray, whereby the drainage from all of the trays on said back will be carried downwardly through said tubes and discharged therefrom below the lowerniost tray.

In a sectional soap holderV a bottom section provided withv a back, a front picco formed integrally with said back and connected to said back along the outer edges of the same, said front piece provided adjacent kaid edges with outwardly spaced walls forming, with said back, drainage tubes, said tubes converging at their lower ends and uniting in a common discharge outlet in the median line of the section, said front piece intermediate said outwardly spaced Valls normally lying adjacent the back and adapted to be drawn away from said back to permit access tothe interior of said drain age tubes.
