' The object of the present invention is to provide a simple construction of concealeble bed, which, when not in use, can be passed into a closet through the door of said closet, and can be extended from said closet into a room for use, the door of the closetthen being closed. in such concealable beds, the

bed is swung upward about a low horizontel axis into a vertical position in which it r'estssageinst a frame, and the frame and b'eddn-this vertical position are then moved from the room iutothe closet.

Iiissniuch as my invention is only concerned with the mechanism for so transferring the bed .and items from the room into the closet, or from extending the same from the closet into the room, the mechanism connected with the raising of the bed to a ver-' tical position, and other details of construc tion which form no part of my invention, are not here shown in detail, the bed itself being ftgonly indicated diagrammatically,

6. incombination with the wall of a room having an opening therethrough, a bed frame, an arm pivoted thereto on avertical axis' between the sides of said bed frame, said arm being also pivoted on a vertical axis at the rear of said Wall, said wall hav ing an open-ended slot to permit said arm to extend therethrough in the extended position of the bed, a bent channel secured to the, floor on one, side 01"; said Wall, and a roller carried by the bed frame and engaging said channel.

In combination with the wali of a room frame, an arm pivoted to the bottom of the bed frame on a vertical axis between the sides of said bed frame, said arm being also pivoted on a vertical. axis at the rear of said wall, said wall having an open-ended slot entirely thorethrough to permit said arm to extend therethrough in the extended position of the bed, and a hinged shutter for closing said slot.

8. In combination. with the wall of a room having an opening therethrough, a bed frame, an arm pivoted to the bottom of the bed frame on a vertical axis between the sides of said bed frame, said arm being also pivoted on a vertical axis at the rear of said Wali, said wall having an open-endcd slot entirely therethrong'h to permit said arm to extend therethiough in the extended posh tion of the bed, hii'iged shutter for closing said slot and arranged to be automatically raised by the outward movement of said arm.
