To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that l, One Snva'rsnN RAA'EN, a citizen of the United States, residing at the town of lVinger, in the county of Polk and State of ll linnesota, have invented certain new and useful Innn'ovements in Serving Attachments for Dining- Tables, of which the following is a specification, refer ence being had to the accompanying drawings.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in attachments for tables and more particularly to a revolving stand or the like adapted to be seated on a dining table and the primary object of the invention is to provide a device of this character which will enable persons'seated at a table to conveniently supply themselves with eatables from the stand without assistance.

A further object of the invention resides in providing a device which is extremely simple and durable in construction, inexpensive to manufacture and one which will he very etlicient and useful in operation.

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel. features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter referred to and more particularly pointed out in the Specification and claim.

In describing my invention, I shall refer to the drawings in which similar reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the several views and in which- 1 indicates a dining table in the center of which is seated my improved serving attachment which comprises a base or pedestal consisting of the supporting legs 2, the inner ends of which are secured to a vertical stud or post 8, the upper portion of the latter being reduced, the purpose of which will be hereinafter and more particularly described. Concentric with the post and supported on the legs of the pedestal is a circular track l, the purpose of which will be hereinafter and more particularly described. A shelf 5 of any desired shape and size is also provided, the central portion of which is cut-out to form an opening 6 and supported from the under face of this shelf 5,

.(i'li which is provided with an opening adapted to receive the central post 3 therein. Secured to the under face of the disk 8 and secured to the arms 7 are a pair of rails 9 between which are rotatably mounted the rollers 10, said rollers being adapted to rest on the track 4- above referred to. From this construction, it will be readily seen that the shelf 5 may be readily revolved about the base or pedestal and the depending side edges of said shell which are designed artistically, are provided with a plurality of knobs or finger pieces 11.], whereby said shell? may be revolved from any position at the (lining table.

Supported above the main shelf 5, on a plurality of arms 13, which project upwardly from the upper face of the disk 8, is an additional receptacle-like shelf 14; which is adapted to receive therein a [lower dish or body of any desired form. Radiating from this shelf or support 14- are a plurality of additional. and similar shelves 15 which are adapted to receive various articles for table use.

From the foregoing description of the construction of my device, the operation thereof will be readily understood and it will be seen that l have provided a simple and inexpensive table attachment which will enable those seated around the table to readily supply themselves to various articles of food, without assistance. It will further be seen that I have provided a device which is durable in constructkm, inexpensive to manulj'aeture and one which will he very efficient and useful in operation.

lVhile I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes in form, proportion and in the minor details of construction may he resorted to without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the principles of the in vention.

Having thus described this invention, what I claim is A serving attachment for dining tables con'iprising a base having a central vertical stud, and supporting legs therefor, said stud having the upper portion thereof reduced, a circular track mounted on the supporting legs, a shelf provided with an enlarged central opening adapted to receive the reduced portion of said stud therethrough, a disk having a smaller central opening therein, a plurality of bowed members secured to the under face of said shelf and having the free ends thereof secured to said disk to rigidly suspend the same from said shelf in spaced relation thereto, said disk, when so supported, substantially covering the opening in said shelf and also adapted to receive the reduced portion of said stud therethrough, a pair of circular rails, one of which is carried on said disk and the other on the aforesaid In testimony whereof I hereunto afliX my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
