Thls invention relates to a new and useful hat box lifter.

As one of the objectsof the invent-ion,

is the aim to provide a device of this nature, whereby hat boxes. may be lifted with care from high shelves and the like.

WVhen the extensible section is extended, and a person is in the act of lifting a box, the extensible section tends to spring from the other section, as. the box is being lifted.
