Description
T. H. BRADLEY.
Bird Cage- No. 105,164. Patented July 12, 1870.
wvw ses.- jmvewztor THOMAS H. BRADLEY, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI.
Letters Patent No. 105,164, dated my 12, 1870.
IMPROVEMENTIN BIRD-CAGES.
The Schedule relerredto in these Letters Patent and making part ofthe same.
To all whom it may concern 'Be it known that I, THOMAS H. BRADLEY, of the city and county of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Bird-Cages.
My improvement consists in a bar to support a swing in such way as to confine it to regular movements, and facilitate its attachment to a cage, or its removal therefrom.
- Figure l is a view of the bar.
Figure 2 is a View of the bar, with swing attached.
Figure 3 is a modification.
I construct nay improvement as follows:
Of sheet metal, or other suitable material, make a bar, A, so as to form a support, say two brackets or rests, BB, for the swing to hang and operate uponon one on the other side of the bar two or more points, 0 C,
to be bent at will, for attaching it to a cage.
In case a cage has a close roof, the bar may be made sufiiciently long to fast'en'at the extreme ends. I
side of the bar, and so as to form I Take any swing suitable for a bird-cage, and hang it upon the support or brackets B B of the bar A,
so that the swing will be confined to forward and backward movements. Place the bar, with swing at-,
tached, in a cage, and to the latter fasten the bar so that it will occupy a horizontal position, and allow the swing to operate.
A swing, after being attached to a cage with this invention, can be easily removed, cleaned, and restored to its place, or be transferred to another cage.
Vhat I claim as my invention is- The bar, wit-h brackets B B, and points 0 O, to support a swing in such a way as to facilitate its at taclunent to a cage, or its removal therefrom, substantially as specified.
I THOS. H. BRADLEY.
