This invention has reference to an attaclr ment. for sewing machinesadaptcd to serve as a receptacle or holder for the sewing as it passes through the machine and to keep it from falling on the floor and becoming soiled. To these ends the receptacle is pro vided with clamps for rcmovably attaching a size large enough to receive such articles as table cloths, sheets and the like as well as the smaller articles that would otherwise fall upon the floor, all substantially as shown and described and particularly. pointed out in the claim.

The character of the invention is clearly evident from the foregoing description and views and consists in,.a frame which has a covering of woven fabric though it might be of a suitable netting or the like and which is adapted to be folded back against the machine without removal or to be bodily removed and taken apart so as to make a small compact Jarccl for storing or shipping, as will presently appear.

In detail the frame comprises two end pieces 2 and 3, respectively. which are hinged or equivalent ined together at their lower ends and art .pted to fold one upon the other and have key hole slots (1 in their upper ends to be engaged upon headed pins or buttons -.l on the respective front and rear bars or strips 5 and 6.
