These buckets are so armngedas to form a space,
H, between them, of peculiarshape, as Iwill now dcscribe.
Between each pair of buckets the space is formeel,-

The buckets are formed as shown in Fig. 1I, and have openings g g g arranged so as to discharge the water at the topv and bottoni of the wheel.
