Be it known that I, LAzAa SrsrANowrrcH, residing in Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new and Improved Calendar-Pen, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to that classof pen or en holders that are specifically arranged and7 designed for holding and displayin calendar devices, that can be readily a justed to. indicate daily, weekly and monthly dates, or for holding advertising matter' ca able of being changeably positioned.

Iy invention has for its object to provide an im roved pen or pencil holder of the genera character stated in which the cooierativ'e parts are so arranged and combined that `they can be economically made and readily assembled so that the user ma quickly set the calendar devices' and wit other objects in view, thatwill hereinafter, apper, my invention consists in the-peculiar construction and novel arrangement of; parts, all of which will be hereinafter fully; explained, specilicall ointed out in. thel appended claims an i ustrated in the ac-y companying drawing, in which,

My invention is in the nature of an attachment for pen and encil stocks, and the calendar holdin and displaying means that 4forms a art tiereof, is so arranged that.

the calen ar need be set but monthly and when set for the entire month, forms a comp letemonthly calendar that is always in sight.

The attachmentcomprises a glass tube 11 anda main barrel like body 1 of thin metal l tubing, the ends or head portions 10-10 of which are internally threaded as at 10l0 for the reasons presently understood. The attachment above mentioned also includes locking or keeper devices for detachably connecting the calendar holding means upon the upper end of the pen stock and each of f the said kee er devices, one of which is best shown `in ig. 8, consists of a rin -like member 3, provided with two or more ongi- `tudinally extended portions 80-30 that join with an externally threaded end ortion 31. i `3 2, designates spring fingers t at extend inwardly from-the threaded ring-like portion 31 and they form a lockin means for .holdin the keeper devices .firm y upon the 'reduce shank of the pen stock; and-to provide for positively` causing the said spring fingers to remain intheir locking or ripping position on the pen stock shank, employ a milled sleeve 4 that is sldably and rotatabl mounted over the said fingers 82. A detailed descri tion'ofthe'keeperdevice for the tip ho der 6 is not'necessary since its construction is precisely like that of the other keeper device described and shown 4in Fi i.' 8, it being clear'from Fig. 2 that the tip older hasa wooden shank-A that has the bayonet slots like the shank of the en stock shown in Fi 8.
