Be it known that I, HERMAN EsHoRN, af citizen of the -United States, residing at New-York city, county and State of New York, haveinvented a new-'and Improved Ladys Undergarment, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to an undergarment of novel construction and more particf ularly to novel and eiiicient means for keeping such garment `in a neat and cleanly condition during menstruation.
In the accompanying drawing: Figure 1 is a perspectivel view of an nndergarment embodying my invention; Fig. 2 a perspective view of the belt and pad detached; Fig. 3 a perspectiveview of the lining detached, showing it buttoned, and Fig. 4 a similar view of the lining showing it unbuttoned. v v i The invention comprises essentially al combination garment 10, in which the waistand drawers are made integral ywith each other as usual. Within the seat of this garfment there is Afitted a removable lining or insert 11 having loops 12, so that it maybe secured in position by buttons 13 .attached to the inner sideof the back of the garment. Lining llvcomprises an upper continuous A seat portion which is provided with a pair of depending flaps 14 separated by a central slit and reinforced along each inner edge by a binding tape 15 provided Wit-hcoacting fasteners 16. Between the garment and the lining, there is interposed a water proof sheet 19 made of rubber or similar material and secured in ermit them to be then secured` position by fastening means 20. To the back of garment 10, there is buttoned at 21, at a slight distance above the upperedge of lining 11, a belt 22 provided with front and rear flaps 23. To these flaps thereis removably secured a pad 24 by means of fasteners 25.
