Be it known that I, JAMES R. CALDWELL, a. citizen of the United States, residing at Upper Sandusky, in the county of lVyandot and State of Ohio, have-invented certain new and useful Improvements in Twine-Cutters, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.

This "invent' onis an improved device to be wornon a' finger, l'ike a ring, an d used for cutting twine, thread or other like material, the device being especially adapted for use by persons who tieup bundles and packages, and the said device consisting in the construction and arrangement of parts-3 hereinafter described and claimed.

In the form of my invention shown in Figifl, the ring 1, which is preferably a casting, but which may be made in any suitable manner, and of any suitable material, is provid'edon its upper sidev with a stud 2, which is provided with a kerf, 3, which extends transversely thereof, and parallel'withthe ring. From the inner side of the ring project a pair of bearing arms, 4:, 5, to respectively bear on the upper and lower sides of the third finger, and hence brace and support the ring so that the latter will not turn on the little finger on which it is worn. These arms are made of spring material so that the space between them {may be varied, and hence enable the device to be used by persons of dilferent size.
