WATER-BOTTLE FOR IN FAN TS.
K Specification of Letters Patent. Application led Decemberv 12, 1911.
Serial No. 665,257.
To all 'whom t may concern Be it known that I, MARY L. RUsii, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Improved VVater-Bottle for Infants, of
My invention relates to that class of devices which are adapted to contain hot fluids in order to produce warmth in any desired portion of the body. Such devices are fre` quently used inthe care of infants.
The object of my invention is to produce a hot fluid container which shall be of a pleasing appearance and which, by reason of its ap arance, will be attractive to achild so that t e childl will permit it to be placed near it.
In the drawings accompanying my speciication, Figure 1 is a front View of my improved device; Fig. 2 is a side view partly in section showing the position of the hot liquid container, and Fig. 3 is a detail view partly in section, showing the means 'for securing vthe hot. liquid container and the means o-f attachment of the detachable end of the securing means.
Referring to Fig. 1, there is shown at. l an outer covering preferably made of some woolly heat retaining material. At 2 is shown a dolls head of any suitable kind to which the louter covering is attached. I have shown the outer covering attached to the head by means of a ribbon 3, which gathers the outer coverinf` and a cap, which may` readily be removed from the head but at the same time is not likely to be accidentally displaced. Inside of the outer coverin 1 and attached to the head 2 is the liqui container 3, which may be of any desired form, the form I preferably use being a flat flexible rubber bottle. The means I prefer t-o use for attaching the bottle to the neck consist of a strap 4 which is permanently attached to one side of the head as at 5 and which is provided with a button, or snap fastener 6 at the other end, so that it may be readily detached and the hot water container removed for filling or cleaning.
While I have shown the form of my invention I prefer, I-do not desire to be limited to this particular embodimentV of it as doubtless many equivalent forms may be used without departing from the spirit of my invent-ion.
I'Vhat I claim and desire to securex b United States Letters Patent is:
1. In a device of the kind described,.a hot liquid container and a -cover thereforjcomprising a dolls head, an outer covering and a strap permanently secured to one side of the head and detachably secured to the other. I
2. In a device of the kind described, a hot liquid container, a heat retaining covering therefor in the form of a dolls dress, a dolls head and means for detachably securing the liquid container to the head.
3. In a device of the kind described, a hot liquid container, a heat retainin covering therefor in the form of a dolls ress open at its lower end, a dolls head, means for detachably securing the liquid container t-o the head and means for detachably securing the covering to the head.
4. In a device of the kind described, a hot liquid container, a heat retainin covering therefor in the form of a dolls dress open at its lower end, a dolls head, means for detachably securing the covering to the head and means for detachably securing the hot liquid container to the head comprising a strap permanently secured to one side of the head and detachably secured to the other.
In witness whereof I have 4hereunto signed my name in the presence of two witnesses.
MARY L. RUSK.
