To all whom z'f may conceive:
Be it knownthat I, NATHAN D. CAss,aciti zen of the United States,.residing at Athol, in the county of `Worcester and State ot' Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toys; and l do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description 'of the invention, such as ivill enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to improvements in toysv and has for its 'object to vprovide a toy store for the amusement of Achildren and also a novel means for advertising the goods sold in a store of Ia particular class.
A further object 'ot' the' invention is to provide a device of the above character which is of simple and inexpensive construction, and in which certain parts are made to fold up for the purpose of occupying less space when the store is not in use.
lilith the above and other objects in View, the invention consists in certain combinationsl and arrangements ot the parts hereinafter described, and the novel features thereof will be distinctly pointed out in the appended claims.
In order that my invention may be understood, the same will be fully described with reference to a toy tgrocery store, although. it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to any particular class of stores.
The preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which y Figure is a perspective view of a grocery store in its set-up position, and, Fig. 2 is a vertical section of the devicein its folded up position, taken at a'pointindicated by line 2 2, Fig. 1.

l represents a box, preferably made of pasteboai'd, which is adapted to stand in a vertical position on one of its ends as 2 and provided with a plurality of horizontal shelves 3 and t for holding the different articles for sale, such as indicated at 5.

Fixed to the inner side of the bottom end 2 is a piece of pasteboard G representing a door, which is ot' the same width as the box and projects forwardly thereof. A block 7 is' secured to the door 6 and snpports a counter 8-which extends longitudinally'in front of the box. The door @is adapted to fold at Si and engage the outer edge of the shelf 4.
A sign 10 is arranged at the top endll of the box 'for displaying a name or the character of the store. rl`he sign is of the same width the end of the box and secured to the forward portion of 'the top end of the box and may be folded at 13. nordinary folding support 14. is secured to the rear side oi the sign for holding it in its proper position. When the device is not in use, the floor 6, carrying the counter 8, may be folded as shown in Fig. Q, the sign l0 folded down, 'and a cover l5 isA then applied to the box for int-losing the articles.
lt is thought the construction Vand advantages ot the invention will be clearly understood without further explanation, and it is to be understood that slight changes in the form, proportion une. minor details ot construction may be resorted to without departing from the spirit ot' the` invention.
Having' fully described my invention, what I claim is:-

An article ot' n'ianufacture, ,om]' risinl a box having a bottom end, a plurality ot shelves in the box, a plurality of articles arranged on the shelves, the articles being` of a similar shape und havingsiuiilar surfaces the original articles for representing the same, a floor foldingly connected to the bottom end ot the box, a block iixcd to the door, and a counter carried by the block, substantially as described.
