SUPPORTING INCANDESCENT ELECTRIC LAMPS AND REFLECTORS.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OTTO WEBER, a citizen of the German Empire, and residing at Reinickendorf, near Berlin, German Empire, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Supporting Incandescent Electric Lamps and Reflectors, of which the following is a description.
The present invention consists of a flexible illuminating device for supporting incandescent electric lamps and reflectors, for advertising or decorative purposes and its object is to provide an effective illuminating body, which may be readily mounted and the appearance of which, during the daytime will also be effectively decorative. The device also possesses that advantage that it can be manufactured en masse, at the factory and supplied ready for use in any lengths.
The device consists of a series of reflector members of a hollow angular form, each adapted to receive an electric incandescent lamp, and having at each end a substantially flat disk-like projection by means of which the various reflector members are hinged or linked together. This is effected by means of a hollow rivet or bolt carrying a feed wire insulating and supporting device as hereinafter particularly set forth.
In order to render the present specification easily intelligible, reference is had to the accompanying drawing in which similar letters of reference denote similar parts throughout the several views.
Figure 1 is a face view of the device, Fig. 2 a longitudinal sectional plan of the same and Fig. 3 a cross sectional elevation of one member complete.
Each reflector member a consists of the cup-shaped part formed by the curved and angularly arranged walls cl having outwardly flared surfaces f at each side and terminating at each end in asubstantially flat disk 6 of circular form and provided with a hollow bead 9 around its edge.
As will be readily understood on reference to Fig. 2 the bead g of the disk of one reflector member engages over the bead g of the next lying member and the two members are linked or hinged together by means of a bolt or rivet, b, advantageously hollow, to receive a screw, nail or the like for at- Specification of Letters Patent.

I claim as my invention 1. An illuminating device for electric lamps, for advertising and decorating purposes, comprising a series of reflector members, provided at each end with a substantially disk like projection to engage over the corresponding disk of the next member, and means for connecting same.
2. An illuminating device for electric lamps, for advertising and decorating purposes, comprising a series of cup-like reflector members, each having a lamp mounted therein and having a diskat each end to engage over the corresponding disk of the next member, 'a hollow bolt, to hinge the said members together and an insulating, wire carrying roll, supported'on said bolt.
3. A11 illuminating device for electric lamps, for advertising and decorating purposes, comprising a series of, cup-like reflector members, each having a lamp mounted therein and having a disk with a hollow bead around its edge at each end to engage over the corresponding disk of the next member, a hollow bolt, to hinge the said members together and an insulating, wire carrying roll, supported on said bolt.
