Referring by numerals to the accompunying drawings: '1 designates the rear H1611]- ber of the box, the upper and..l0Wer mangins of, which are beveled. on..angles sub stantially forty five degrees.
2 designates the bottom of the box, the rear margin of which is beveled or cut at an angle of substantially forty 3 designates the top of the box, the rear margin of which-is beveled or cut at an angle of substantially forty five degrees. lhe rearmost margins of the bottom and to the rear member by the hinges 4t;
5 designates the lower half of the front of the boxand 6 the uppcr'halr" of the front of the box.
'7 designates members constituting the or which is providedwith extensions 8 of .l welf insrgins and 9 desigfive degrees.
netes integral, 'll' shaped pr ections of the members 7 lying between the extensions 8, the .rearmost margins of the members 7 being securely fastened to the rear of the box flush with its ends. 7
1O designates members which are secured to the rear faces of the upper and lower halves of the front of the box, flush with their ends, and which members are shaped to conform with the members 7 and their extensions 8 and 9 which members constitute parts of the ends of the box.
Formed through the bottom and top of the box are the openings 11 and carried by the front members 5 and 6 are the staples 12,- the openings 11 and staples l2 alining vvertically. inserted through said openings and staples is a-headed rod 13 having an eye at its upper end, through which is placed the locking bolt of a lock 14. In this manner the parts are held in box form.
l5 and 16 designate legs hingedly secured.
to the bottom and top respectively, each of which is provided with a. jointed brace 17 M tt.
tom and top for holding the legs in place against the inner faces of the bottom and top.
The box as shown and described may be employed to receive such articles which. go to make up a campers outfit and, if desired, there may be handles secured to the ends for the handling or carrying of the box.
Urdinarily, a container for a. campers outfit has no useful function other than a container. have done there may be formed :1 complete folding table, for dining or other purposes, having folding leaves with supports therefor and a pair of benches to be employed in connection with the table. The rear of the box forms the table top proper, the bottom and top of the box forming the table leaves, while the members 7, constituting parts of the ends of the box, with their marginal eX- tensions 8 constitute supports for the table top proper and the legs 16 are arranged to support the table. leaves. The upper and lower halves of the front of the box with the parts 10 of the ends of the box form separate benches as shown in Fig. 3.
I claim: 1. In a campers out-fit box, the combination'with a backand a top and bottom hingeolly connected with the back, of end By constructing the box as I members rigidly secured to the back and having cutaway portions, and it'tWO-Ptllt front having right. angled members arranged .to conform with the cut awaypor- ,tions of said ends, said two-part-front and the right angled members being separable from the back and the top and bottom, for
the purposes stated 2. In a campers outfit box, the combina- 10 tion with a back and a top and bottom hingedly connected with the back, of end members rigidly secured to the back and having cut away portions, a two-part front having right angled members arranged to 5 conform with the cut away portions of said ends, and legs hinged to the top and cover, said two-part front and the rightangled members being separable from the back and the top and bottom, for the purposes stated.
